Head Mechanic at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona! Qualified candidates are golf course trained mechanics skilled on a variety of gasoline and diesel powered equipment. Candidates are team players highly skilled, organized and focused on guest service. |

Job Qualifications
|
|
Strong knowledge of golf course machinery; Certificate from college or technical school or at least six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience. Experience managing people. Frequently stands, bends, crouches and walks; lifts 10 pounds regularly and often up to 100 pounds; ability to work in humid and/or extreme heat or cold (not weather-related). |

Job Responsibilities
|
Ensures that all equipment is kept in efficient and operable condition at all times.
Maintains preventative maintenance program on all equipment, purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects in many types of golf course maintenance equipment.
Performs mower grinding/sharpening, general overhaul of motors and reels, installs and adjusts braking systems.
Performs machining or welding work.
Manages expenses related to the maintenance fleet.
Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of light and heavy construction and maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus.
Knowledge of the theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems and mowing equipment maintenance such as grinding, sharpening and adjustment.
Diagnoses mechanical troubles and schedules appropriate preventative maintenance work. Maintains accurate records.
